The International Spatial Cognition Summer Institute (ISCSI) is a two-week event which offers intensive lectures, workshops, and tutorials in the cognitive, computational, neuroscientific aspects of spatial cognition in humans and artificial systems. It is primarily aimed at students, postgraduates and young researchers with a strong interdisciplinary interest in spatial cognition research.

By combining cognitive, computational, neuroscientific perspectives, it endeavours to intensify dialogue and connectedness across the various disciplines. In addition, the Summer Institute is geared to provide people from all over the world with interdisciplinary contacts. The lecturers at the Summer Institute are the leading experts of the field, who know about the benefits of fertile scientific exchange with other experts and students.

In the framework of the International Quality Network (IQN) on Spatial Cognition the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports the Summer Institute by providing stipends to talented students and postgraduate fellows.
